Blueprint for Access: Community Support in Action

How collaboration turned awareness into impact

TL;DR

The Young Professionals of the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce presented Hearsee Mobility with funds raised through our Blueprint for Access community fundraiser. The luncheon wasn’t just a check presentation—it was a celebration of partnership, purpose, and the shared belief that accessibility should be built into every environment, not added later.

What’s happening (and why it matters)

When communities come together around accessibility, real change begins. The Blueprint for Access fundraiser—hosted in partnership with the Young Professionals and Utah Arts Academy—brought together local leaders, innovators, and advocates to support vision-first design for the blind and low-vision community.

At the luncheon, the Young Professionals presented Hearsee with the funds raised, symbolizing more than generosity—it marked a shared investment in inclusion. The event reinforced how collective effort drives momentum for independence and equitable access.

Highlights from the luncheon

  • Community recognition. The Young Professionals highlighted Hearsee’s mission to make navigation technology accessible in schools, businesses, and public spaces.

  • Shared stories. Guests heard firsthand how accessible design empowers individuals who are blind or have low vision to move confidently in their environments.

  • Partnership in motion. The funds raised will directly support pilot projects and future technology deployments through the Blueprint for Access initiative.

What we’re achieving—together

  • Momentum for accessibility. The luncheon underscored how collaboration transforms awareness into tangible outcomes.

  • Visibility for the mission. More community members learned how Hearsee’s work impacts daily independence and opportunity.

  • Expanded partnerships. New connections formed with businesses and leaders ready to advance accessibility across Southern Utah.
